My Career as a Police Officer.

You graduate from Police Technology.

You have pulled off your CEJEP and the "École nationale de police du Québec" with straight A's overall your grades. Now, it's time to do what you were meant for. You have the choice, you can either work for the SQ in Gaspesie or for the SPVM. What is your preference between these two cities? There is another choice you can do if you aren't sure about becoming a police officer, you can take a sabbatical year.

Choice 1 : You work for the SQ in Gaspesie.

Choice 2 : You work for the SPVM in Montreal.

Choice 3 : You take a sabbatical year.

Students in Police Technology

You work for the SQ in Gaspesie.

Congratulation, you have overwhelmed the background check and the physical test, and you have been chosen to work for the SQ in Gaspesie. You now have to decide where you want to patrol. You can either patrol in the forest or on the road 132.

Choice 1 : You patrol in the forest.

Choice 2 : You patrol on the 132.

Police officer in Gaspesie

You work for the SPVM in Montreal.

All your hard work and internships at the SPVM were worthwhile. They allowed you to get a foot in the door and the job that you wanted easier. It's now time for you to test drive the police officer's work to know if it's really what you want to do for the rest of your life. Though there is one last step to take before you patrol on Montreal street, you must choose the area that you want to patrol on. There are only two available, you can either choose to patrol in Hochelaga or in North Montreal. Which one do you prefer?

Choice 1 : You patrol in Hochelaga.

Choice 2 : You patrol in North Montreal.

Police officer in Montreal

You patrol in the forest.

It's been a couple of months since you started to work for the police station of Pointe-à-la-Frégate. It's a small town where everyone knows each other. You are appreciated in the village because you aren't strict. Sometimes, you give a chance to the people you are arresting and you don't give them a ticket. In the evening, you meet a group of 5 drunk Gaspesian driving VTT without a helmet. You know them well because they are your neighbors. You now have another choice to make. You can either give them a violation ticket with a high fine to pay or you can let them go away.

Choice 1 : You give them a high fine violation ticket.

Choice 2 : You let them go away.

Forest

You give them a high fine violation ticket.

They are mad at you and one of them says, "If I were you, I wouldn't have done that, your maddening behavior will have consequences." Then, they tell you that you are a jerk, and they treat you to ruin your car. The next day, when it's time to patrol again, you notice that all of your tires are flat. They got destroyed during the night! There is no other police car left for you and you have to explain what happened to your boss. Your day is ruined and you lost a day of salary.

Choice 1 : You graduate from Police Technology.

Violation ticket

You let them go away.

You tell yourself that more often than not, the people in this province are drunk while they are driving, so 5 more drunk people on the road won't change anything. Furthermore, it will be less work for you and they even give you a bribe. You already have a great wage, but it can always come in handy to have more money to set aside. Then, you decide to let them go away. Though, in the evening, they have an accident because they were too drunk. Besides, two of them died because they didn't wear a helmet. They tell to the police officers that if you haven't let them go away, they would probably be alive. Your misconduct had cost the lives of two people. You are fire.

Choice 1 : You graduate from Police Technology.

Someone doing quad without a helmet

You patrol on the 132.

It's Christmas and you are patrolling on the 132. You are very tired and you don't want to radar all night long. Even the premium wage doesn't look as attractive as before. You almost fall asleep a couple of times, and it affects the way you are working. You don't feel like you could arrest someone who does a hit-and-run for example. You have a choice to do, you can either close your eyes for a few minutes or you can have a coffee at Tim Hortons.

Choice 1 : You tell yourself that it's not that bad if you take a nap for a couple of minutes.

Choice 2 : You decide that it's time for a coffee.

Road 132

You tell yourself that it's not that bad if you take a nap for a couple of minutes.

Unfortunately, you have fallen asleep until the next shift. One of your colleagues notices it. He tells everything to your boss. You get a warning.

Choice 1 : You graduate from Police Technology.

You decide that it's time for a coffee.

You think that the best way to fight the need to sleep is by drinking a big coffee with a lot of sugars. You decide to get one as fast as possible because you don't want to fall asleep and it's really cold outside. Then, you park your police car in the closest Tim Hortons parking spot. It's a disabled parking spot but it doesn't matter because it doesn't seem like there is a handicapped person in the area. Someone saw you and took a picture. He posted it on social media and it turned viral. Some of your friends stopped talking to you because of this picture. Your colleagues are also using this situation to undermine you. You receive a warning from your boss.

Choice 1 : You graduate from Police Technology.

You patrol in Hochelaga.

At the end of your shift, you receive a call from a woman who got her wallet stolen in a small alley, and she needs some help. You are with an intern that is doing an internship just as you did when you were a student. You are very tired and you don't want to do overtime. However, you also want to show what a policeman can face to the intern. What do you decide to do? You can either take the call and do overtime, or you can decide that it isn't for you, so you don't take the call.

Choice 1 : You take the call and do overtime.

Choice 2 : It isn't for you, so you don't take the call.

Hochelaga

You take the call and do overtime.

You go in that small alley on your own with the intern, but you notice that there is no woman there. When you decide to turn around and to get out of here, you notice that there is a woman with three guys that are looking at you with crowbars. You get robbed by these perpetrators and both you and the intern get beat up. A walker sees what is happening and calls the policemen as well as the paramedics. You receive a leave of absence due to the injuries you have.

They require money, but someone looks to resist. You hear that one of the criminals wants to shoot on someone. Then, you decide to get out of your hideout and you shoot on the perpetrator. Unfortunately, you only hit one of them, and they shoot on you. You get hit on your shoulder. Fortunately, the backup arrives at the same moment, and they all get arrested. You almost died, but you save these people and you are now known as the hero of North Montreal.

You don't want to risk your life. You prefer to wait for the backup. You open your radio to know how far they are from your position. Then, you hear many gunshots. The criminals are getting outside the gas station with a bag full of money. You call again the backup to inform them of the situation. You decide to enter the gas station to help these people that are probably injured. When you enter it, you notice that all the recipients are dead. You now suffer from post-traumatic disorder and you feel so guilty that you quit your job. Furthermore, everyone now knows you as the coward of North Montreal, the policeman that lets poor citizens die.

They are armed, and the older one tells you "If I were you, I would get out of the cars, or we will kill everyone in the village."
